I am Sajan Bhuvad, originally from Dapoli in Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra.
I developed a strong interest in reading from an early age. My journey into finance began when I chose Commerce in junior college, which introduced me to the world of financial concepts. While pursuing my graduation at Patkar Varde College in Mumbai, I studied mutual funds as part of my curriculum — and that’s where my serious interest in personal finance started.
During my learning journey, I read several books, but “The Psychology of Money” by Morgan Housel had a significant impact on my thinking. It inspired me to simplify financial knowledge and make it accessible in regional languages so that more people can make informed financial decisions.
In June 2021, I started Marathi Finance as an Instagram page. Today, the platform has grown into a strong community of 27,000+ followers across Instagram, Threads, and Facebook.
Professional Experience
After working as a banker for 4 years at Saraswat Co-operative Bank, I am currently working as a Relationship Manager at ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund.
My experience in banking and mutual funds has helped me understand the real challenges, doubts, and needs of everyday investors. This practical exposure allows me to explain financial topics from a common person’s perspective, making them easier to understand and apply.
My Mission
My goal is simple — to show that finance is not complicated or intimidating, but something that anyone can understand with the right guidance.
I aim to:
- Encourage early investing habits
- Simplify complex financial topics
- Help Marathi families become financially aware and independent
Thank you for being a part of this journey.
